BDR Ban Alerts
This article provides general information on how the automated BDR ban alerts work and some FAQs to assist with troubleshooting.
As per change order CORBDR014, an automated alert will be emailed to DLGSC where BDO ban match has been detected at a licensed premise.
As of 22 August 2025, the ban alerts are only emailed to:
- Liquor.enforcement.unit@police.wa.gov.au

1. LGIRS are not receiving the ban alerts.
Gather information for investigation and/or escalating to the development team.

- When was the last ban alert received?
- Which email are they expecting the alert to come through to?
2. When are ban alerts sent?
The automated ban alerts are initiated and sent where a 'Banned' or 'Possible Ban' scan result is confirmed by the operator.
3. What information is provided in the alert?
The following information will be provided in the automated alerts:

- Scan time;
- Licensed premise;
- Location;
- Action Ref;
- Client ID number; and
- Scan Link (to view scan data in the BDR Portal).
4. What happens if the ban match happened offline?
The ban alert will be sent once the device is offline and the data has synced. If a ban has
expired or been deleted, the information listed above can still be provided.
5. Is there a way to check if or when the last ban alert was sent?
Yes, you can monitor the alerts in Groups | Google.
