When do I escalate an issue - the Client or the Scantek BDR technical team?

Lost or Missing Device

Where a Licensee (venue) has reported a missing device, please notify the BDR team (LGIRS).

Unresponsive Licensee 

If you are unable to get a hold of the Licensee within 24hrs, notify the BDR team at DLGSC.

Additional Device Requests

Where a Licensee has requested an additional scanning device, forward the request to LGIRS for approval.

Where the Client has approved the request, please arrange for an additional device to be sent to the venue.

Addition of ID Types

A list of approved forms of identification can be found on the Department of Local Government, Industry Regulation and Safety (LGIRS) website.

For requests for additional types of identification, direct the Licensee to LGIRS.

BDR Ban Inquiries

Where a person on the Banned Drinkers Register (BDR) has been responded to as per the canned response, reiterate that any ban-related enquiries should be directed to the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries via email or phone.

New Licensee

If you receive requests from Licensees not already part of the BDR, please direct them to LGIRS.

Police Data Request

Where the police or a venue is requesting data on behalf of the police, direct them to DLGSC.
