BDR iPad: Auto logout times

The auto locks are as follows:

• BDR App: 10 minutes of inactivity
• iPad: 15 minutes of inactivity

iPad Auto-Lock

The iPad will lock, screen goes dark, after 15-minutes of inactivity.

If the iPad is locking before the 15 minutes, advise the Licensees to check under settings what the auto-lock time is set to. 

Check Auto-Lock Time

1. Unlock the iPad.
2. From the home screen, select the 'Settings' app.
3. Scroll down and tap the 'Display & Brightness' option.
4. Find and select 'Auto-Lock'.
5. Select 15-minutes from the list.

While it may seem time-consuming, the passcode is in place for security reasons due to the mobile nature of the iPads—they’re more likely to be used in various locations and handled by multiple users. The old scanners had similar security measures in place as well, though they may not have been as visible unless necessary. The passcode on the iPads helps protect the sensitive nature of the data and ensures the devices remain compliant with our current security standards.

BDR App Auto-logout Time

The App will automatically logout after 10-minutes of inactivity. This time limit is for security purposes due to the sensitive data and the mobile nature of the device.

! The App logout time cannot be changed.

Hi,

Unfortunately, we’re unable to extend the current timeout period of the BDR App. The current settings are in place to maintain security and protect the sensitive nature of the data, which is why the BDR App will logout after 10-minutes of inactivity.

I understand this can be a bit inconvenient, but it’s a necessary measure to keep the scanned data secure.
