TAMS Restrictions

• • • Low alcohol liquor where the liquor contains less than 3.6% concentration of ethanol in any quantity is unrestricted;
    • where the liquor contains from 3.6% to 7% concentration of ethanol, a
      maximum cumulative quantity of 12 litres per customer per day, e.g. one
      carton of 30 cans at 375ml each;
    • where the liquor contains greater than 7 per cent but no more than 19.9 percent concentration of ethanol, a maximum cumulative quantity of 2.25 litres per customer per day, e.g. three bottles of wine at 750ml each;
    • where the liquor contains greater than or equal to 20 per cent concentration of ethanol, a maximum cumulative quantity of one litre per customer per day

1. 1. 1. Unlimited low strength alcohol (i.e., 2.7% or less) - noted here for reference only.
      2. 11.25 litres (e.g., 1 cartons of beer) mid to full strength alcohol (i.e., 2.7% to 7%)
      3. 2.25 litres (e.g., 3 bottles of wine) full strength alcohol (i.e., 7% to 15%)
      4. 1 litre (spirits and fortified wines) greater than 15%

Combinations

1. 1. a) above is not included in Scantek TAMS system, just noted here for reference
   2. May purchase b) and c) in combination (i.e., 11.25L beer AND 2.25L Wine)
   3. Purchasing any d) means unable to purchase b) and c)
   4. Purchasing any b) or c) means unable to purchase any d)
   5. Spirits and Fortified wine cannot be mixed (i.e., you can buy spirits OR fort. wine)
